Let me show you have I’ve transformed my closet into a witch altar. Take a peak and get some altar ideas. Browse my photos of witchy items.Enjoy.
So this all was in my living room but I moved it to my bedroom closet. Why, you ask? Well for several reasons. 1. It feels so cozy in my closet. 2. It’s right near my bed so I can watch my candes burn from the comfort of my own bed. 3. I can keep everything contained and orderly. 4. It’s more private. 5. It’s just plain genius.
I am a professional tarot reader (check out my available readings here Expressivetarot.com ) and I needed space to perform my readings. My bedroom is the perfect place to have some peace and quiet. I just pulled an old bookshelf I had stored in my basement .
Book and Tarot Deck Storage
It doesn’t look pretty, but it’s practical. I have soooo many tarot decks that I’m going to have to come up with a better way to put them all so they’re easily accessible. But this works for now. 🤔 Maybe I’ll use hanging door storage like I do for my bottles inside the closet doors..
This is where I keep all of my bottled treasures I have collected in the woods and various places. The hanging storage is amazing because everything is easily accessible but doesn’t take up any closet space.
I’ve used an old desk that was my grandmothers and just painted it. Above it on the wall, is a cute little printer’s drawer or something I found at my local antique shop. It’s perfect for my growing crystal collection. Under the desk is where I keep all of the meaning books from my tarot decks. Along with my favorite tarot cards and candle holders.
This is where I store my herbs, incense mixtures, inks, and oil mixtures.
So as you can see, even if you don’t have alot of space in your home for an altar, you can always find a way. Get creative. Think about where you can carve out a little space for yours, that is away from prying eyes.
Here is a love spell for you to do. Whether you are trying to make the bond you have with your current partner stronger or attract a new partner, my love spell is a fun one to try.
All you need is:
Pink candle, lavender, marjoram, white copal, coal, petals, lavender essential oil, lemon essential oil, and your favorite perfume.
❤Combine all of the herbs to make a love powder and the owls to make a love oil.
❤ dress the candle in oil and herbs while thinking about your desired outcome.
❤ sit and meditate for awhile on your desire and let the candle burn all the way down.
That’s it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy🤗
Also, I must say, my practice keeps changing over time. I’m currently really into making different loose incense blends and scented oils. For this spell, for example, I used the herb recipe to make a bigger batch of “love incense” to burn on charcoal. Not just to dress candles. I also made a bigger batch of the “love oil” to use as a scented oil for my wrist for a pick me up. Smells great with the essential oils. I did mix it with a rose oil I made as the carrier oil. There’s just so much one can do that makes Witchery so fun!

As I prepare for this coming New Moon, I thought I would share my New Moon Home Cleansing Ritual.
Here is what you’ll need:
🌑 Florida Water Floor Wash
🌑 white tea light or chime candle
🌑 black tea light or chime candle
🌑 black salt(salt mixed with ash)
🌑 cascarilla powder(crushed egg shells)
🌑 blessing oil
🌑 rose petals
🌑 black gemstone-such as black tourmaline
🌑 quartz crystal
🌑 sage bundle or palo santo stick
I begin by opening a window to allow the negative energy to be released. Next I dress and prepare the candles. On the white candle I carved the words ‘peace and ‘calm’ because I wish to maintain a peaceful home. Then I place 4 drops of the blessing oil on the white candle and sprinkle on a few rose petals while envisioning a happy and peaceful home. On the black candle, I carve the words ‘cleansing’ and ‘release negativity’ because I wish to remove any stagnant or negative vibes that may be hanging around. Then I place 4 drops of the blessing oil on the black candle and sprinkle on some black salt, as well as casparilla powder, while envisioning the black smoke of negativity leaving my house through the open window. I place the black gemstone next to the black candle to help absorb the negative energy and a quartz crystal near the white candle to aid in peaceful intention.
The next thing I do is light up my sage bundle or palo santo stick and go through each room of the house, while focusing on removing negative energy. Then I put just a little bit of florida water on a rag and dust the surfaces of my bookshelves etc. Then I sweep and mop the floors. In the mop bucket, I add a little bit of my Florida water floor wash and pinesol ( I just love the clean smell of pinesol). As I mop each room, I make sure I end at the front door. When I’m done, I dump the water out the front door and down the steps…not sure why lol . I think it’s a superstition, but also practical. I have a septic tank and don’t want to throw chemicals down there.
To finish everything off, I always pull a tarot card and ask what needs to be let go of for the next moon cycle. This step is optional, but I am obsessed with tarot so ofcourse I have to encorporate them in every one of my rituals.
After all of that hard work, I always end with a cup of tea and relax in my newly cleansed space. It really does feel different after the ritual. I can definitely notice the air seems lighter. Not to mention everything smells so amazing.
So what do you do for the New Moon? Feel free to comment below with any tips or ideas you may have. I love encorporating new things into my routines.
Today’s tarot deck flipthrough and review is of the Prisma Visions Tarot .
It is a very artistic Tarot deck with little paintings on every card. What is also amazing, is when you lay down each of the suit cards in order, the cards paint a larger picture. Each suit creates a unique artistic scene.I love how each suit visually tells a story.
